Know When Enough Is Enough
Don’t let an investment you’ve already made convince you to keep spending more time on the wrong person.
We do that sometimes.
We confuse history with value.
We confuse effort with obligation.
We confuse how much we gave with how much something still deserves.
Time.
Energy.
Patience.
Trust.
Effort.
And because we already poured so much into it, walking away starts to feel like waste.
But staying can be the real waste.
At some point, the question has to change.
Not, “How much have I already put into this?”
But, “What is this still costing me?”
That question will tell you a lot.
In business.
In relationships.
In friendships.
In jobs.
In anything you keep carrying because you have already carried it this far.
Everything you invest in is not meant to become permanent.
Some investments return profit.
Some return wisdom.
And some only teach you where never to spend yourself again.
Take the lesson.
Take what still belongs to you.
And stop paying interest on something that already taught you enough.
